She completed the IVAS acupuncture course at Tufts University and became certified in acupuncture in 2005. Dr. June has spent her most recent time working at exceptional practices in Westport, Connecticut and Princeton, New Jersey but is very pleased to have returned to Great Barrington, Massachusetts for good. • Madeleine Hoog-Crellin

    DVM

Dr. Madeleine Hoog-Crellin graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Animal Science. She then attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her original direction was large animal surgery, but she quickly fell in love with the variety of general practice. She worked at All Caring Animal Hospital during summers and school breaks through vet school. It was there that she was introduced to and became interested in alternative therapies like acupuncture, homeopathy and traditional Chinese medicine. After finishing her conventional veterinary schooling, Dr. Mady completed the Healing Oasis Veterinary Spinal Manipulation course - a 226 hour post graduate certification course in manual animal chiropractic. Chiropractic adjustments for both her small and large patients have helped decrease pain and increase quality of life. Two years later, she completed an intense 130 hour course to become a certified animal acupuncturist through the world-renowned Chi Institute in Florida. She is currently studying how to treat disease with food and diet. These alternative therapies are an "extra tool in the toolbox" both as a compliment to traditional treatments but also to treat diseases that are no responding to other therapies. Her professional interests include alternative and holistic medicine, soft tissue surgery and animal behavior. After practicing in the Garden State and her home state of New York, she is happy to be moving back to her favorite animal hospital. She is excited to move back and share her love of the Berkshires with her husband, four cats, two dogs, twelve chickens and four horses. In her spare time she likes to ride her horses, play volleyball and garden!.
